NIFT

There are several courses available in fashion designing. After completing a course in fashion designing, one can choose to become a fashion designer or a merchandiser. NIFT is a national level fashion designing entrance exam on the basis of which students can get admission into Bachelors of Design, Bachelors of Fashion Technology, Master of Fashion Technology, Master of Design, Master of Fashion Management, etc.

NCHMCT JEE

Various colleges and hotel management institutions organize entrance exams for the students after the 12th. Some colleges conduct specific exams. While admission in various undergraduate programmes offered by the affiliated colleges/institutes of National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology , is given on  basis of NCHMCT JEE exam . NCHMCT JEE is the national level Hotel management entrance exam.

ICAR AIEE

Agriculture is an emerging stream among the youngsters to make a successful career. Many universities are offering courses in agriculture in which students can get admission by clearing the National level, state level or university-specific agriculture entrance exam. ICAR All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) is the national level entrance exam for admission to agriculture courses.

UPSC

The Civil Services Examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This exam is conducted for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India. It includes the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service.

GATE

This exam is conducted for admissions to Masters and Doctoral courses in engineering, technology, architecture, and science. This exam is key to get admission to various Government Engineering Colleges including IITs and NITs.

GATE is conducted to offer admission into postgraduate courses like ME/MTech offered by the nation’s premier institutes such as IITs, IIITs, NITs and other top colleges. The GATE score is also accepted by selected PSU sectors of the Indian Government.

NDA

NDA Exams are conducted to select candidates for the army, air force, and navy. The candidates are selected on the base of written examination, psychological aptitude test, intelligence test, personality test, an interview.

There are different eligibility criteria for different national defense areas. It is conducted twice a year in April and September respectively. This objective type of exam. Any student who has completed or appeared in his class 12 exam can prepare and appear for the NDA Test.

The interview is conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence and it is required to clear all the previous tests to be eligible for the interview. The SSB Interview is one that includes a psychological aptitude test, intelligence, and personality test.

UGC-NET

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is a national level exam conducted to select candidates for only Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. It is conducted to qualify the meritorious assistant lecturers and Junior Research Fellowship candidates who will be hired for the school and college level. The test is conducted in 83 subjects at 88 NET examination cities.

A candidate must have secured at least 55% marks in their master’s degree examination from any recognized university. Candidates can give exam for the subject which is taken in post-graduation only.

CLAT

It is conducted to get admissions in Bachelor of Law after 12th or Master of Law (LLM) after graduation. The score obtained is accepted by 22 National Law Universities in India. Most private and self-financed law schools in India also use these scores for admissions.

The candidates who qualify CLAT are eligible to obtain admission in the courses such as BA LLB, BSc LLB, BA LLB, BSW LLB, B.Com LLB, and L.L.M.

CAT

CAT is an online examination conducted to get admission in post-graduate management programs. The exam consists of three sections

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

The score of the CAT exam is accepted by the IIMs and many other universities offering MBA.
